You value design and you know your home has potential. But translating your taste into a cohesive, buildable plan takes time and technical skill you may not have. I bridge the gap between your vision and the builder's reality, providing the clarity you need to renovate with confidence.

Design for the Way You Actually Live

I'm Virginia Polendakis, the founder of COLOUR COLOUR.

I work with busy professionals — doctors, scientists, and executives —who appreciate beautiful aesthetics but require a home that functions flawlessly.

My philosophy is rooted in existing space redesign. I believe the most sustainable and impactful renovations often don't require extending your footprint; they require reimagining the space you already have.

I look at the "bones" of your home to improve flow, light, and livability. By rigorously planning the layout and specifying materials before you engage a builder, I help you avoid expensive on-site mistakes and the stress of making decisions on the fly.

Technical Expertise
Meets Aesthetic Warmth

Great design is more than just selecting fabric; it is a discipline of precision.

With a Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) from RMIT and a background in Passive House specialist design, I bring a rigorous technical lens to every project. I understand how a home must perform—thermally, spatially, and functionally.

I combine this technical grounding with a mastery of colour and materiality. My goal is to create spaces that feel effortlessly beautiful and deeply personal, not just "styled."

Design Clarity Without the Project Management Markup

We provide the vision; you handle the build.

Many homeowners want high-end design direction but do not need a full-service agency to manage their trades. My service model is designed to give you builder-ready direction without the overhead of project management fees.

How We Work:

We Deliver: A comprehensive design package, including floorplans, elevations, and material selections (Concept Package).

You Receive: Documentation that allows you to get accurate, comparable quotes from builders.

The Result: You approach your renovation with a documented plan, knowing exactly what you're building and how much it should cost.

Serving Melbourne's Inner South

Based in Murrumbeena, I work intimately with clients across Melbourne's Inner South and South-East who are ready to invest in their existing spaces.

Whether you're looking to unlock a dark hallway, reimagine a kitchen layout, or bring cohesive flow to a disjointed floorplan, I invite you to start the conversation.
