We've refined our design process into a streamlined Concept Package. This service is designed for busy professionals who value high-end design but do not need full-service project management.
We provide the vision and the technical documentation; you hold the reins on the build.
How It Works: Your Path to a Cohesive Home
We guide you through a structured, milestone-driven process designed to eliminate decision fatigue and ensure your renovation is planned to precision.
1. The Initial Consultation
We meet at your home (or online for regional projects) to assess the site conditions and discuss your lifestyle goals. We look beyond the aesthetics to understand how you live, cook, and move through your space.
Outcome: A clear scope of work and a fee proposal tailored to your project.
Investment: $350 (Credited towards your design fee if you proceed).
2. The Concept & Space Planning
This is where the magic happens. We rigorously plan the spatial layout to maximise flow and natural light. We explore reconfiguration options—often finding space you didn't know you had without moving structural walls unnecessarily.
Outcome: Preliminary floorplans and black-and-white 3D visuals to help you understand the volume and flow of the new space.
3. Materiality & Design Development
We curate a palette of finishes, fixtures, and joinery profiles that create emotional impact. Whether you need a tactile, warm kitchen or a serene, spa-like bathroom, we select materials that balance durability with aesthetic harmony.
Outcome: Mood boards, material samples, and developed 3D views.
4. The Handoff: Builder-Ready Direction
We deliver a comprehensive design package including dimensioned plans, elevations, and a schedule of finishes and fixtures.
Outcome: You receive the professional documentation required to get accurate, comparable quotes from builders. You can now approach trades with certainty, knowing exactly what you're quoting and building.

Design fees for our Concept Package typically start at $6,500 for single-level homes (approximately 20 squares), with pricing tailored to your specific project scope, complexity, and requirements.

Do you manage the trades and construction?
We focus exclusively on design and documentation. We provide the vision, floorplans, and design guidance, while you—or your builder—manage the site. This approach gives you professional design direction without project management fees, ideal for homeowners who want to be actively involved in the build.
What is a Concept Package?
It is a comprehensive design roadmap—a starter, not the full documentation. It includes existing space analysis, proposed floorplans (to improve flow and light), 3D visuals to help you understand the volume, and curated moodboards showing the level of quality and finish you’re aiming for, including some finishes and fixtures. This gives homeowners or investors a clear communication document to share with their builder and obtain a ballpark estimate for the build—based on your design direction, not standard ‘builder’s range’ options. If you choose to proceed with the build, the Concept Package forms the foundation from which we can develop full documentation.
Do I need an architect or an interior designer?
If you’re planning structural changes, such as moving walls that affect the structure, extending your home, or altering rooflines, you may need a building designer or architect. If you want to reconfigure your existing floorplan—moving non-structural walls, redesigning kitchens or bathrooms, and improving livability within your current footprint—our specialised interior design service is the right solution.
What budgets do you work with?
We work with clients who are ready to invest in quality materials and trades to achieve high-end results. While we don’t manage the renovation budget, our Concept Package provides the documentation needed to obtain accurate builder quotes and plan your investment with confidence.
I don’t want a “colourful” home. Can you still help?
Absolutely. While we love colour, our name reflects our mastery of the entire spectrum—including subtle neutrals. Our design process is client-directed; we translate your taste into a cohesive palette, whether that is vibrant and bold or calm and monochromatic.
Do you travel outside of Melbourne?
Our studio is based in Murrumbeena, serving the Inner South and South-East. We also work with clients in regional Victoria and interstate through our digital design process, provided you can supply accurate floorplans of your existing space. For a complete understanding of your home and to ensure the design aligns with your space, site visits are sometimes necessary. These visits are charged separately to cover travel time and expenses.
